Upper Cumberland Hospice, which will provide care with compassion to families of Putnam county, extends the Alleo Health network service coverage to the Cumberland Plateau area of Tennessee, now covering 23 counties in TN, GA, and NC. The organization will also bring Palliative Care Services to the area to help patients with managing the pain and symptoms of chronic conditions and provide support to their families and caregivers.

“We are excited to open a not-for-profit office, Upper Cumberland Hospice, in Cookeville to uphold the Alleo Health System’s life-affirming core values of empathy, respect, compassion and integrity to patients and families of Putnam County,”said Tracy Wood, president and CEO of Alleo Health. “We welcome the Putnam county community into our Alleo Health family and look forward to serving them well.”

Upper Cumberland Hospice joins the 40-year-old legacy of Alleo Health System, parent company of Hospice of Chattanooga, to provide a wide range of family-focused services seeking to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of patients and loved ones during their end-of-life journeys. Alleo Health System, which has long served patients in Tennessee and Georgia, extended the hospice and palliative care company footprint to North Carolina in 2018 with the addition of Murphy-based Good Shepherd, covering four Western North Carolina counties.
