At Alleo Health System, we can help you deal with many forms of grief.  

It does not matter whether your loved one was in our care or not. Our trained professional bereavement counselors welcome you to use any of our offerings to assist you in your journey with adjusting to the loss of someone in your life.

How do I get started? 

Currently, all our groups are virtual. + Programs & Opportunities

Sudden Death by Overdose - 1st Tuesday of the month from 5:30-6:30. Participants must register in advance to receive the link for the group. Please register by calling 423-805-7112. Brave New World - This is a weekly support group for widows, widowers and partners. Every Wednesday from 2:00-3:30pm EST Suicide Support Group - Every Tuesday 11:30a.m.-1:00 p.m. EST. Registration is required - register by calling or emailing Susan Latta.

+ Adult Virtual Support Groups

Living with Your Grief - This 6-week group offers hope and support to those who are grieving on Wednesday’s November 11- December 16th 11:30 am - 1:00 pm EST; Tuesday’s 1/19/21-2/23/21 5:30-7:00pm; Tuesday’s 3/23/21 – 4/27/21 5:30-7:00pm; Tuesday’s 5/25/21 – 6/29/21 5:30-7:00pm; Tuesday’s 8/17/21 – 9/21/21 5:00 -7:00pm; Tuesday’s 10/9/21-11/23/21 from 5:30-7:00pm. Registration is required - register by calling or emailing Susan Latta.

+ Teens & Kids Virtual Support Groups

Healing Hearts Teens/Kids - A healing place for children 5 and up with a theme for each night. 1st and 3rd Thursday's of the month 6:00-7:15pm EST. We break into 4 groups: Little’s 5-8-year-old; Middle’s 9-12-year-old; Teen’s 13-18-year-old and adults. Registration is required - register by calling or emailing Susan Latta.

+ Family Virtual Support

Healing Hearts Family Night - A healing place for children 5 and up with a theme for each night. We break into 4 groups: Little’s 5-8-year-old; Middle’s 9-12-year-old; Teen’s 13-18-year-old and adults. 1st and 3rd Thursday's of the month 6:00-7:15pm EST Caregiver Support Group - a virtual group for those serving as the primary caregiver for a loved one. First Thursday of the month; 1 st Tuesday of every month 1/5/21 either 10:00-11:00 or 4:00-5:00pm. Registration is required - register by calling or emailing Susan Latta.

National Alliance of Grieving Children (NAGC): Wonderful information on kids and teen grief. Dougy Center: Based in Portland Oregon they are the leaders in teaching about children and teen grief.

The Compassionate Friends, Inc.: This is an international organization that is for parents that have had a child die. There is a chapter in Chattanooga that meets 1 time a month. Compassionate Friends Open to Hope: Helping people find hope after loss.
